About This Project

This project is based on excerpts from Walter Benjamin’s Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction. I used Benjamin’s ideas about “aura” as a way to talk about land verses ‘āina and the complexities of the land use and ways of viewing place in Hawai‘i.
